UJ Arts & Culture
UJ Arts & Culture, a sector of the Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture (FADA), is dedicated to producing and presenting exceptional arts programs by both students and professionals, in line with UJ’s mission to become a preeminent global university rooted in Africa, and actively shaping the future.
Across all four of UJ’s campuses, a diverse range of arts programs are available for students, faculty, alumni, and the general public to engage with, showcasing both emerging and established Pan-African and international artists spanning various art forms.
In addition to UJ Arts & Culture, FADA offers programs in eight distinct creative fields within art, design, and architecture, and is home to the NRF SARChI Chair in South African Art and Visual Culture, as well as the Visual Identities in Art & Design Research Centre.
