We are offering the following job opportunities:

  1. Arts Admin Assistant – Three Month Contract

We are seeking an Arts Assistant to provide crucial support for the administration, coordination, and communication of our division’s operations and the UJ Arts Academy. This 3-month position starts in January 2024 and extends through March 2024.

Responsibilities include:

– Maintaining the operations cluster project/programme schedule

– Assisting in the running of the operations cluster monthly meetings

– Developing and maintaining a program management system

– Proposing improvements to administrative processes

– Preparing reports as required

– Assisting with research for projects, preparation of briefs, and data management

– Administrative functions and relations with UJAC staff

– Assisting with program and project planning and implementation

Requirements:

– Relevant qualification

– Minimum 1-year relevant administration and coordination experience

 

  1. Programmes and Events Assistant – 11-Month Contract

We are looking for a Programmes and Events Assistant to join our team for an 11-month period starting in January 2024 and ending in November 2024. This role reports to the division’s Client Liaison and is based at the UJ Arts Centre on the University’s Kingsway Campus in Auckland Park.

Responsibilities include:

– Administrative and coordination support for the division’s Cathsseta-funded internship program

– Administrative and coordination support for events hosted by the division

Requirements:

– Relevant qualification

– Minimum 1-year relevant administration and coordination experience
