Auditions for the UJ Arts Academy and UJ productions take place at the same time. Students may be selected for either a production, or acting classes – not both. Classes and rehearsals are presented weekly.
Latin and ballroom classes are offered weekly. These are facilitated by an experienced Latin and Ballroom coach with many years of experience. The classes are structured in such a way that allows one to grow as performers and express their creativity. Participates will learn basic Latin and Ballroom dances in the beginners classes, and compete in competitions in the advanced classes. All dancers will perform in a showcase at the end of the year where they will give us a taste of what they’ve learned through-out the year.
For your audition: Prepare your best moves and dress in your most comfortable clothes and bring your ballroom shoes. The audition runs like a workshop where you show off your best work with the facilitator giving guidance and tips.
