A new musical by Yogin Sullaphen, Tshego Khutsoane and Jade Bowers with the UJ Arts Academy Students.
Shh, don’t talk about these things.
We don’t talk about these things.
Shhhh, don’t talk about the hurts, and the demons and the unresolved and the confusion. Don’t talk about it because you are taught to already know.
To figure it out. Quietly on your own. To not ask questions lest you look like the idiot in the room. Shhh. Don’t. Shhhh. Shhhhh.
Don’t talk about. Don’t talk. Shhhhh.
You were taught this. Shhh.
Mixing hip hop, soul, trap and poetry in a new cutting edge musical- comes the proudly South African premier of SHHH! UJ Arts Academy Students, Featuring Johannesburg Youth Orchestra bring you a story of secrets that should be told – A collection of urban micro-stories delving into the transitional spaces of adulthood.

The play was beyond what I expected. I felt emotions through what was said each character is incredible. It didn’t feel like they were acting it out but it was real they kept it real and amazing. keep up the great work I’d love to see more of such musical plays. Thank you once again

The show was amazing, the story-line, impeccable. However, sometimes when the they were singing, it was hard to make out the lyrics because the instruments were far too loud as compared to the singer, especially when they were singing solo.
