The UJ Choir’s 2018 repertoire, titled ‘Dawn at Dusk’, embodies the stillness of the evening while offering a clean slate that comes with the sunrise. Renette Bouwer and Sidumo Nyamezele have once again defined the choir’s versatility in faithfully representing Western and African music that hails from local avenues to as far as Estonia, Sweden and Canada to the world. Join us in as they sing songs of celebration, hope and a new dawn.
Closing off a year that has seen the University of Johannesburg Choir being crowned World Champions in the Folk category at the World Choir Games earlier this year and days after its participation in the International Beijing Choir Festival in China, the choir will perform some of the most popular numbers from this year’s repertoire at the Celebration Concert.
